Volunteers of America Los Angeles
Alicia Procello Maddox is currently the president at the Avery Dennison Foundation in Glendale, California, a company that places emphasis on quality community outreach. Since 2015, Alicia Procello Maddox and her foundation have contributed to the Volunteers of America Los Angeles, which seeks to maximize the potential of Los Angeles citizens in need.
Since 1896, the Volunteers of America Los Angeles, or VOALA, has offered support to individuals of all ages, regardless of race, gender, or religious preference. Combining compassionate relationships, an effective plethora of programs, and personal belief in each individual's strength, Volunteers of America helps over two million people each year throughout the United States.
Programs are located throughout the Los Angeles area, ranging from homelessness services for anyone in need, to recovery programs for anyone who is dealing with substance abuse or domestic abuse. For veterans, the association is proud to offer counseling for depression, PTSD, and anxiety, as well as job placement and educational opportunities.
